Ol Tukai Lodge lies at the heart of Amboseli National Park in Kenya. The essence of Amboseli is Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa”s highest peak, which dominates everything in sight. The main attraction of the National Park are the large elephant population and the prolific bird life.
There are few trees in Amboseli and part of its attraction is the ease and certaintyof game viewing, unobstructed by bush and scrub. Ol Tukai is camouflaged in a forest of fever trees and palms. Its has excellent conference facilities and is a perfect place to unwind.
From the room stretches a panorama of landscape, sky and wildlife with the massive majesty of snow-capped Kilimanjaro in the background. Cottage accommodation spreads out on the either side of the main lodge. The architecture is unobtrusive with lots of wood, local stone and shades.
There are two double rooms especially designed for the disabled and ramps for wheelchairs are the norm. One may also choose to have a swim to cool off.
Each of the 80 twin rooms at the Ol Tukai are a study in luxury. Each room allows for an uninterrupted breathtaking view of Mt. Kilimanjaro and the wetlands. The furniture is well chosen to enhance its comfortable feel.
The adjoining pool bar offers a wide range of snacks and drinks. The Elephant bar presents a unique menu for relaxation and enjoyment. In the open air bar you can sip your beer, a cocktail or fresh fruit juice as you watch elephants frolicking or grazing in the wetlands.
